Can anyone tell me why I always receive a window message when opening Internet Explorer asking me if I wish to go to Homepage or return to the page I was previously on as it did not shut down correctly? Thanks Guys....Tel

Perhaps because IE didn't shut down gracefully last time ? Could be any of a number of reasons for that. Do you use the start/shutdown command when you switch off ?

Yes I always switch down the correct way.....have done so for the last three decades or more. Never had a problem with IE7...wish I hadn't upgraded. Tel
This is normal.
When you switch down incorrectly, next time, IE will ask you whether to go to homepage or return the page you visit previously.
do you close your IE before you go into shut down ?..if you do not close your internet page first this will always happen..

As I said previously, I do shut down IE correctly ( unless clicking the top right hand corner "X" is not the correct way) if not then please advise me. Tel
