10000 steps per day
19 Answers
I have a pedometer and try to make myself do 10000 steps per day. Yesterday I did my morning walk for 30 minutes, went shopping and walked around Sainsbury's for an hour, came home and helped weed the patio and later went round a friends house, walking there and back.
Imagine my dismay when I looked at my pedometer and it had only registered 5600 steps.
I didn't have time to go for another walk and so just gave up and resigned myself to trying harder today. When I put my pedometer on this morning, I noticed that I had it on the distance mode, not the step mode. So I had walked 5.6 kilometres. Does anyone know how many steps that is? I know it depends on your step length. Do you think I managed 10000 steps?
