The government is mirroring what we as a nation already do. If we gave nothing to Oxfam, Christian Aid and Comic Relief, I would understand the government freezing overseas aid.
However, seeing as we as individuals continue to donate to our favourite overseas charities, I don't see an issue with our government doing the same.

The Department for International Development estimates the £11.5 million will help up to 30,000 folk. Over the five years of the project, the money spent on those 30,000 is less than £1.50 per person per week. With regards to the £8.8 billion, this represents about 81p per week for each taxpayer in the UK.
