Relationships come and go as we learn different things about ourselves and other people. Are we destined to learn for the rest of our lives, or is there actually someone out there for each and every one us?
there certainly can be, but often it's what you make of it - some people seem to look for absolutel happiness, where often you have to make compromises.
I agree with you woofgang - after 2 false starts and some very unhappy times I met granddad g nearly 30 years ago and I feel that he is my soulmate - I feel for you as I don't know where I would be without him
Sounds good woofgang, but I think what you describe is very rare. I've had conversations with most of my friends and family about this, and only one of them is truly happy with their choice of partner.
I should say. . .it's the women who are unhappy with their partners, and not the other way round. I hope this isn't a sexist thing to say, but I have found that men are more loving to their wives than vice versa.
My experience is the other way around. I have three friends who found out out of the blue that their husbands were cheating. The friends know each ther but the husbands didn't.
