I want to buy something for my new adpoted nephew thinking this

http://www.argos.co.u...+centres|14417889.htm

He is 18 months but is small for his size and is in 12-18 months clothes, he is not walking unless aided.

they have a garden and dog and cat.

he likes playing out doors

i wondered if people in the know (not me) have any thoughts, I'm guessing he would grow out of the swing in a while due to it height limits of it, but when he is walking he can get in the swing himself due to the low height

thanks in advance

as it's so expensive, why don't you ask his parents?
its quite nice, certainly for a year or so's use, I notice in the reviews several reviewers mention the swing being quite low to the ground. I would do further research before buying.

well I have looked around and it's the only one I like and the only one with a swing in blown plastic, for that price other are just a slide and that would be more boring I would have thoug.

Parents on asking them what I could get said get something for outside as he loves outside play, also money is not a problem for me but wouldn't want to get something in the £!50+ as probably too much

thanks for these answers
On the full product information page it says for 2 years and over, perhaps your nephew is a bit too young at the moment.
As Dad to 5 and Grandad to 12 I would say that he is already near the upper age for this to be 'interesting' it would get a few months/ weeks use at most.
My granddaughter is about the same age and she has just got a trampoline which she loves. They go in the garden and have a netting screen to stop the child falling out . She will still be able to use it for several years yet.
This is almost exactly like the one my grandaughter has , says 3 and over but she is great in it

but wouldn't he need to stand to use it?

thanks for all these answers guys I have seen some on the elc website which might be less limiting on the swing.

My lot never really played with toys, spent a fortune on garden toys, played with for a week then that was it. I found a sandpit on legs and a water table kept them more interested. Also they all had wooden bikes for their first birthday and thats all they really played with, inside and out.
Question Author
i've looked at water and sand tables and none have jumped out at me yet there seems to always be problems with things like covers, rainwater getting in to the sand, and the shared sectioned water and sand tables being too close and mixing too much together = mess
Sorry to say but thats why they like them, kids love the mess adults hate it. We used to have a huge sandpit, I have been know to be out in the garden hoovering the sand, so much easier than a sweeping brush.

lol
From experience I find that the Step2 toys are really great, very well made and interesting. They have a great range of sand and water tables - you could get two separate ones for your budget :)

you also have to make sure the sand pit is covered overnight or all sorts of nasty bugs set up homes/nests :o

i quite like this one becase the slide it much bigger and can be set at different heights and also the swing is on a rope so you can increase the height and remove harness. But there's no reviews and know well known brand
That last one looks good, should last a while. Daughter works in a nursery with 24-36 month kids says that it is a good present but would be better when he's more mobile, she has found that most children don't have a certain type of toy they play with more just whatever she is playing with at the time, large toys like inflatables or more one-to-one play like bubbles always seems to get their attention. The baby room has a large ball pit that the children love to sit an explore the different attachments.
i would painting easel or sand table ...
Question Author
thanks for inquiring fairy much appreciated. yes I still like the ebay one but I have seen it cheap else where, but it still comes down to if it has uk safety standard attached to it.

I keep looking at ball pools but as my brother has no room in the house and this has to stay purely outside I think balls would get really dirty and that any ball pool would fill with rain water, I don't think any ball pool is a 100% outdoors fixed attraction, therefore it's a no go.
