It took about 4 weeks to get ours fitted.

they have just called will be here at 12 now im confused with colours thought i had an idea of what i wanted now i'm not so sure grrrrrrrr

what sort of thing did you have in mind?
Mine is high gloss white, with all black appliances, a dark grey worktop and white "brick style" tiles

I went to stay with my daughter for three weeks while they did mine. I think I would have had a nervous breakdown if I had stayed to watch, especially when they took the ceiling down.

We have had the same kitchen for 31 years! And I still like it. It suits our cottage. We installed it ourselves when we renovated our almost derelict cottage and it feels comfortable. It will see me out!!

I'm with you Lottie - what is it about, all this renewing kitchens? Ours is as old as the hills, but the food that comes out of it is no worse for it.

Absolutely ginge. My grandmother used to prepare the most wonderful food in a kitchen not much bigger than a cupboard. Just a sink, cooker an old fashioned dresser and a table for a work surface.

I am comfortable with my kitchen, the fact that is old doesn't worry me one bit.


What I really think is funny (I am not saying you are like this zzxxee) is that some young folks insist on fantastic kitchens with every conceivable gadget, and they can't boil an egg and eat out or have takeaways.

I am not having new appliences or anything just surfaces and units and floor im not made of money
