First thought though was the Jacksons (or Mick Jackson) with Don't Blame it on the Boogie but the lyrics don't really match yours

Hi it,s allgram here, sorry factor30 I checked your answer as the best by mistake(I was going to message you say I have looked through the Jackson 5 songs I can find but it,s just not there) as the best and now cannot uncheck it.Only clue that I can give is it is a male group lots of band behind them.
