Sorry, I didn't realise it was a game. I'm like Pavlov's dogs I see a question and have to answer it - I'm the same with telephones (was a telephonist) I hear it ring and I feel obliged to answer..

I was a telephonist for many years, loved it, still dream about my old switchboard [ long gone ]

There are numbers from more than 30 years ago still in my head, but I can never remember my mobile number, but I put that down to the fact that I never call myself! Oh, for an old PABX1 - my favourite (after the old plugs and cables!)

mine was the old plugs and cables, temperamental old thing but it behaved for me and I loved it !!

funny how the people you talk to a lot and have a mental picture of them come as a bit of a surprise when you finally meet them !!

anyway, back to the 'game' - it's just a fun thing, look in around 7.00am for the start - you'll see the furry bloke in the tree again

7.00 am!!! That's the middle of the night for me! I wait up for best beloved to get home from work I'm expecting him sometime around 2.00 - the rain is affecting flights apparently so he's running late so I doubt we'll get to bed much before 3.00 (if I'm lucky) I will look out for the cuddly bear when I log on later in the day.

Seriously? She's a grumpy old girl who hates the other cats in the house, though she does have her moments - she growls and chases her tail - a cat with an identity crisis, she's currently lying along the top of a chair paws all over the place listening to the rain which is belting down! We have an amber warning out tonight, not too concerned as we live at the top of a hill! Just lost satellite tv owing to the rain as well ain't life grand!

sounds like a typical English summer !! we have three dogs at present and sadly, no cats - at one time, there were four felines along with three dogs, though not this lot - that was a houseful but OH threatens departure if I get a cat [ I do miss the feline companionship !!] but the 'monsters' are all asleep on the bed and I'm wading through the DT GK - typical Saturday am for me !!

Ah, the English summer is exactly like the Scottish one! Wet and windy.
I hope there's better weather ahead for the Olympics.
I'd love to have a dog, but the cats and best beloved would resent it

now that's brilliant, never thought of an humungous fan !! could just do the trick, only snag is where it might finish up ... mind boggles !!

Londoners all seem to be a bit immune to the wet, but not so sure about the overseas brigade !! thought they were a bit optimistic when they put in for the games knowing what the weather could do when it put it's mind to it

I'm guessing you're not in England but over the border in the highlands ??

No, not that far up! about 20 miles east of Edinburgh. I swear I'm developing webbed feet!
Happy to say that best beloved has finally arrived home, he thought he might have to swim home - that I'd have paid money to see.
