The stress showed itself in abdominal migraines. Although I had 'regular' migraines I also had terrible abdominal pains. I grew out of it but the my doctor told me it is quite common for stress to show itself in the stomach.
Has your child had any stress? This may be a contributing factor.
Has your daughter been diagnosed by her GP or at a hospital because according to one of our doctors they are only suspected abdo migrane until confirmed by a specialist. If she hasn't been referred insist on it as the consultant will be in a much better position to offer advice and possible treatments.
Hi loopyc. It sounds very similar then to my own experience. For me it was simply a matter of time as i managed to understand the death - very difficult when you're little. My mum was excellent and they started to go with time as life moved along.
I don't think there is a magic answer but all I can say is they went with time and I'm sure your child's will. Stress is very difficult for children and as I learned to have a damn good cry instead of bottling things up, the release helped to free the anxiety knotted up inside.
Good luck and my best wishes
