my flowers changed colour

I bought some white delphiniums last weekend and have just noticed today that they have gone BLUE !!! do they normally change?
they are in a cut glass vase and tap water

some plants change colour as they fade e.g some roses start yellow and go through a range of shades before they fall... Delphiniums often change as the flowers mature I am guessing they have gone either pale blue or pale lilaccy blue
Delphiniums have to be blue. They are lovely, like cornflowers.

My lemon lupins went white as they matured. Still nice though.

they were quite a dark navy blue when I threw them out, I thought it was very strange because white flowers usually go brown when they fade
