cd burn

trying to send family pics to a blank cd or dvd ,all i get is error message,cancel or retry. checked everything i can ,any help appreciated

I assume you have tried with more than 1 disc. Does the drive read discs OK?

tried a few blank cd's and dvd's, its reading ok and device manager say's everything working ok

Burner software could be corrupted for some reason. Would need info on what software you are using. Try freeware program cdburnerxp. Works with xp, vista and w7. Sometimes a drive can still read discs but fail to burn then stops working altogether (happened to mine). Drives are cheap and easy to replace. You can also get external ones if fitting internal one is not an option.

You have to follow normal steps. Here, you have said that you have tried with many blank CD and DVD disks which means there are no problem with inserting disk. First you have to insert any other audio, video or another working disk into DVD drive. If it seems any error then try to repair DVD drive.
If it works well then, check photos size. You have to send photos into disk as per size of disk and write them. I hope it will work.
