Hello there, have always thought it would be nice to spend some time writing to someone in our Forces. Don't get the opportunity to write too many letters nowadays and am missing recieving them too. Would love to know if anyone has an ideas? Thanks

If you go to http://www.superletter.com/bfpo/bfpo.cfm

create an "e-bluey" account, you will then find a link to a site offering a pen pal service for the forces.

There are of course other websites, but I am not sure on the 'safety' of those, as many require registration and a fee. You could look out for 'Soldier Magazine' as they run monthly columns for personnel looking for penpals, but their website charges 17 to register your own advert.

Hi Traceyglaze,

Its simple sweetheart, go to your local Post Office, ask for some "Blueys" and write your letter, address it to: "a soldier in Iraq" or "a soldier in Afghanistan" or, " a soldier in Northern Ireland" etc.

I garuantee you will get a reply

I wish there had been more people like you when I was serving overseas.
