I have brought this up before, but why do some people pronounce words like something, nothing and everything with a K at the end, rather than ing.
I was watching the first programme in the new series of 'Secret Dealers' today, and the announcer did this three times.

Probably right, Mark. No doubt you often stop to think how wise you were to abandon your Celtic roots temporarily and flee to the shores of the Tyne to complete your education.
MarkRae, I liked your description of a spiral staircase but what if the person didn't know what spirally meant??.I would have to use my hands to describe one.
