I went to see the above last night at the Savoy theatre which was very swish and had obviously had a makeover along with the hotel.
Excellent cast how can you go wrong with Danny De Vito & Richard Griffiths ? not youngsters anymore either of them and De Vito on stage for the entire play their timing was to perfection and they certainly got the laughs and a well deserved standing ovation at the end.
As I won the tickets from our local rag and pal & myself both have bus pass we enjoyed it even more being a comlpete freebee, I thought the glass of rose in a plastic stemmed glass a bit steep @ £5 each but we were at the Savoy !
Were home by 11.15pm and Chief Stout waiting there to hear all about my evening, so I told him all over a few voddys then I was on a roller coaster and didnt go to bed until 2am and a good time was had by all.

Wonderful - always good to hear about a prize-winner, and something completely free is even better!

BTW £5 for a glass of wine could be said to be inexpensive in some corners - it'd cost you £8.50 in a hotel at Gatwick....

Really glad you had a fantastic evening. De-Vito is just the bees. Love him and Richard Griffiths is a legend too.

Heard really good things about this and would love to get to see it if given a chance.

You must search out the film version with Walter Matthau and George Burns as it is simply brilliant. Got it on DVD.

Great script, well acted and a truly great film.

no ladyj the glasses wouldnt fit in our handbags !
Danny de Vito soo small that when they took a bow he didnt even reach Richard Griffiths chest ! and of course with R.Gs size it made him look even smaller.It really was very a funny play, I would have been happy to pay to go.
