Strange voice coming from computer!

I have had a strange voice coming from my PC recently, it just says hello.

Now it is also coming from laptop.

Have scanned for viurses, ad ware and spyware also have firewall.

Has anyone else experienced this or know the cause?

Never mind firewalls and virus scanning, you need your computer exorcised !!!

If you rule out the most likely technical reasons (program gone wrong, hard drive noise etc) you are left with looking for the most likely reason for this happening. Seeing as this is happening on oth computers I would say that someone has planted a file on your computer that is not a virus, but just repeats itself. Try searching for a file called hello and see if one is dated very recently - this may be the culprit file, but who is the culprit? Does the sound repeat at even intervals or when you do something? If even intervals it sound like a simple repeating program designed to cause you consternation! If you have windows XP try rolling back the computer to a point you knew it wasn't doing this (under windows restore). Don't do this though if you have intalled new programs recently as they will stop working. However, if you do this you can always undo it and at least you will see if the computer stops talking to you. Then you know someone has made a change or added something to the setup. Who else has access to the laptop and omputer? If it is 1 or 2 people say you have found out it was them and say you want them to put it back to how itwas!
