Right, our rescue Lucky (or hop along cassidy) was fed by her previous owner on mainly liver with table scraps thrown in and crap fed to her by the kids.

Speaking to my out laws who are former dog breeders, feeding a dog a lot of liver and not a regular varied diet can damage the dogs ability to absorb nutrients from there food.

We are struggling to get her to eat what we feed our other dog even with soaking it (gundog dry food) she is still not gaining weight.

Any help appreciated!!

have you spoken to the vet - I'm sure you will get good info there.
What kind of 'table scraps'? If it was some potatoes and vegetables, you could try mixing that in with her dried food.

i put potatoes and pasta in with her food when we have it and she had chicken soup mixed in with them last night. She will eat if shes hungry-sometimes - others, no she would rather starve dont know why but im not caving! I hhave to take her monday if her legs no better so will ask then.thanksx
IF she is an older dog she may find the hard food difficult. We recently had to switch our two elderly collies from the working dog formula to half and half with tinned Butchers. You should see them woof it down!. Also bear in mind an older dog will not eat as much anyway.
Raw tripe.
I was going to suggest raw tripe too, but gave it to one of mine last week, which resulted in a trip to the vets. Good for building body though, as long as it doesnt upset their digestion.
I always understood that potatoes were bad for dogs.
cooked potatoes are fine. "not caving" She's not being awkward, has had big changes in her life, sounds like she wasn't being treated well in a former home...is there any reason why you can't give her a better version of the kind of food she was used to and introduce any change gradually?

Shes 10 months old, but we suspect she had some trauma to the face in the past as she can struggle with simple things like picking up tennis balls. Drinking is fine etc. May have to put her onto proper wet food as if given dog meat from a can she cant get enough especially if well mushed! The only thing is mr f will have to be convinced she needs wet food. Our neighbours get hearts etc from the local butcher cheap so may get her some and give it to her and see how she goes. Potatoes, especially jackets with skin on are her favourite thing to attack so daintily she holds it in her front paws then peels the skin back where as our lab just looks at them and is like huh?! is this food??? Its not in a bowl and not peeled no ta lol. Thank you guys, I am waiting to here how she is today but judging from a video taken last night the leg looks betterx
find something mr f doesn't like and insist that he eats that and nothing else for a few meals. If it is difficult/painful to eat then so much the better. Tell him that it would be "caving" to give him anything else. A day or two should convince him....and yes i am serious.
PS, have him read this if you like!
Maybe it hurts her mouth to eat dried food? Have you checked her teeth?
