Water Butts

I intend to install a water butt. It would appear they come in 3 sizes. Which would be the best value and for practical use.

How much water do you need for your garden? If you only have a small garden, then you probably only need a small butt.

I've got three, all different sizes, the biggest being 200l+, I would recommend getting the biggest one that you can as I find the smaller ones tend to run out quite quickly in a dry spell.

It depends on your run-off too. We have a small one in the front garden because it only fills from one gutter/downpipe - the one in the back garden is large, because it takes the overflow from next door's extension roof too.
