Unclaimed lottery prizes

Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone knows for certain what happens to the interest earned on lottery prizes until they are claimed or expire.

I have checked the UK Government site and found the following

The last paragraph confirms that expired prize money is transferred but does not specifically mention interest earned.

Also I have found this. Check the 3rd from bottom and then check your pockets, wallets etc.
