Da kids of today ..there *is* hope !
14 Answers
Three young lads (about 10 YO) come knocking on our door every month or so, bucket/car shampoo/sponge in hand, asking if they can wash our cars for whatever money we're prepared to give them.
I think this is heartwarming in an age where most are vegging out in front of X-Boxes and being fed all this b*llsh!t that there is a kiddy diddler on every street corner.
I find it quite entertaining that they spend half of the time chucking water at each other and that they need a little nagging to get the job done properly.
Does anyone else have any tales of hope regarding our youth ?

Girls and boys and their families are involved. They are motivated and great to know teenagers. I think yob culture is more isolated where I am , sure we have the odd one or two out of control stroppy kids on the whole they are good kids. I pass and interact with a few and they are pleasant to me.
when I first moved here 7 years ago..there was a group of kids around 8 who played in the street..everyone moaned about them..I made friends with them talked to them built snowmen with them etc..thay all now are lovely kids of around 15/16 and no bother at all.. in bad weather they always ask me if I need any help..always chat with me if I am out front in the garden ..
