I have just had a phone call from my cockney mate Sheila I used to work with over 35 years ago she moved to Oz about 25 years ago and we still keep in touch, it was so good to hear from her and she still doesnt have the Oz accent as yet, bless her she has just bought her first computer so we will be able to e mail when she gets the hang of it ! she still calls me Dot and I changed my name to Dee about 30 years ago !
Isnt it nice to have good friends who can give you such a lift when you hear from them .

I changed my name from Dorothy Jean to Dee because I thought that Dot sounded old fashioned and was dated ?I was called Dee when I met my hubby Chief Stout but when he found out he thought it was a hoot and started to call me Stout Dot until I bashed him one.

alba I was size 14 at the time, nowadays it would be appropriate ! but our email addreess is "stoutsrus" ! still insisting on his diet I am now bloated out with sausage, mash and yorkshire puds ! eaten two hours ago !
one of my friends refers to him as PLS in her e mails it stands for Phantom *** Spotter because anyone who upsets him is definately one !
but best of all I love him, after 25 years of marriage I still love him.
