But an ex work colleague who was a body builder was told he was technically obese according to his BMI although he was all muscle without an ounce of fat on him. A nurse once told me not to worry about it. The times my BMI has been lower (ie I've lost weight) I'm constantly told I'm far too thin.

I am an Ethiopian. I always suspected my mother was keeping a secret from my father.
BMI 22 at 65. Lower than 94 per cent in the UK, only 74 per cent worldwide. I now (9 stone 1 ) weigh over a stone more than when in my 30s, which may be a common feature of age, but still seems a lot.Bang goes my chance of riding a Derby winner, unless they have a very light plate (saddle) and I diet. Damn, another ambition gone !
