Paying twice for handling charge for concert tickets
2 Answers
I bought 2 tickets to see Dappy in concert for my daughter and her friend (goodness knows why they like him but that’s teens for you) but he has put back his concert by 3 months and the girls now can’t make it at the same venue. The company will pay for a refund of the tickets if we return them. The problem I have is we have already spent a lot of money on these VIP tickets and at the time of booking, I had to pay £15 for handling charge and £5.50 for p&p. When I return the tickets to the company, I will have to pay another £5.90 to post them by Special Delivery to ensure the tickets arrive safely. These 3 extra charges will not be refunded. The girls can go to another of his concerts at a different venue so I will have to re-buy new tickets and be charged again another £15 for handling and £5.50 for p&P. I do feel it is unfair that we customers have to fork out the extras because some idiot so-called singer has decided to move his concert dates! Do I have any come-back on these charges? I have emailed the company who issued the tickets about the charges but they say they can only reimburse for the tickets. They seem to have got us by the short and curlies!
