Morning everybody, dull and wet here at the moment. Still I'm watching Breakfast at the moment and they say that though it's going to be the same all day it's going to be better for a couple of days over the week end.

ALBA up until 3 weeks ago my daughter had 2 cats but came back one day and found one on the drive thought she had been run over but no she had been poisoned . Took her to vets and as they could not get there own vet was sent to an emergency on a Saturday afternoon cost nearly £300 with tests and blood tests. Still had to be put sleep as they were told they could not guarantee full recovery. Heart breaking.

Wendi, that's just awful. Poor cat, poor family. How on earth anyone can do that to any animal is beyond me. Cats are normally fussy things when it comes to food aren't they?

Thats right but the vet said that certain pellets are mixed with antifreeze . I think I have got that right.

And they mix it in with food and it is tastless

Yes DT it is a cruel world what people can do. Just don't bear thinking about after you read about it.

Words cannot begin to describe what should be done to things who do that to any animal.
I'm calling them things, as calling them anything else would be an insult to that animal.

I have always had cats but not had one since I lost my white persian few years ago. My kids bought me the hannes mccaw for my 70th and I already had a cockatiel. So as the parrot is out lots it would not be fair to have a cat . She will only get out in the evening for a couple of hours while I have my daughters cat.

good mroning everyone. brief visit today. off to truro - visit to bank, boots, art shop and then home. weather changeable. blue sky then grey and rain. breezy.

met friend for chat yesterday. haven't seen her for months so was good to catch up. sometimes difficult to see her as she works shifts at culdrose and spends most of her spare time diving somewhere exotic.

got to go now. as it takes about 50 minutes drive to get there.

Good morning all, looks like it could be a nice day in Kendal. Not much on today, quick trip into town to the post office, sorry I'll qualify that - slow visit to the PO as there is always a massive queue!
