Moonlighting Ed?

Are the Ed and Deputy Ed moonlighting?
I keep getting two shifty looking Gnomes wandering (or is that wondering?) across my screen, to the right of 'best answer' space advertising 'London attractions, when you go by train'
Is keeping an eye on us lot not a full time job by itsELF ?
