What outrage would be needed to change American gun laws?

I'd guess there'll still be people saying that the right to carry arms is more important that the right to go about your life without the risk of being shot by some nutter.

They won't change the gun laws.
if shooting a presdent or two won't do it, killing some fanboys certainly won't.
In Scotland you can still own a gun but you need to be a licenced gun club member.

yes he was!

BUT guns don't kill, people do (they think)!
I was reading in today's paper about the apology by the bloke who killed that unarmed young guy who was just walking along the road - apparently it is the State's Right to Bear Arms policy which is likely to get him off. Dreadful.
A bit late now.

USA is awash with weapons.
