Hypothetically - if I put a £10 each-way double on two horses, one of which won at 5/2 and one came 3rd at 15/8, and the places at 1/5 rather than at 1/4, how much would I epect to get back? TIA

Sibton, it's just a £20 stake - this is why I'm querying this - I looked it up on free bet calculater and it came out to £34.38,(a profit of £14.38) which I would have thought to be correct, but not what the bookmaker paid out - my OH received £20.64, making precisely £0.64 profit. He went back t the bookmaker and took a print out of the calculations taken from the Free Bet Calculator, but still came back saying that they had rung their manager, and that it was correct. So Chuck, you come nearest the bookie's calculatiions, would you be very kind and tell me how you got to that number please, Thanks very much.
