An enjoyable puzzle but really once you have the grid fill and letters the highlighting is hardly a challenge. Would have been so much more fun without the across misprint letters.

Massive dilemma with my last character to be highlighted, though, because (s)he occurs twice within my completed grid (2Dn & 20 Dn reversed). I am fully aware of the handicap this character has, but I am, as yet unable to identify why that might clarify my choice. It's difficult to do on this forum, but can anyone explain which I should highlight and why? [email protected]
Good morning. I must say I agree with Turast - it's unsatisfactory. As Slaney says, "A case could be made for either". One of the definitions of 'stand' given in the BRB is "rise to one's feet" but it is only ONE of the definitions. Another is to 'remain upright', so I can't see either choice has any merits over the other.
Had a brain clearance in the early hours and identified a rogue letter of the identifying across word which made everything clear re the x 4 and they are now high-lighted (I tend to agree with the 2d entry as I think it sits (!) better with its compatriot) the final element adds a nice touch I think. Does anyone know the work well? Somehow, I don't think it is something I would wish to queue for, but could be persuaded otherwise!
