I'm watching this programme for the first time and admit I know little about the subject. I know Thailand is famous for Ladyboys but do they have a higher proportion of trans-sexuals than other nations or is it just that their physical features make them transform to beautiful women so easily that has caused this fame?

I watched a programme about ladyboys a few weeks ago. I think the Thai ladyboys are the most well known, they have delicate features, usually small boned, and seem to seague into the ways of walking and talking like a woman quite easily. It's a way to earn money for them. The one I saw was quite pretty and the boyfriend (originally from Doncaster) said he didn't consider himself gay. Sad.

I saw that prog gran. If it was the same one it actually showed an Englishman wanting to 'marry' one of the Ladyboys.
He also said he was not gay. He simply found the Ladyboy concerned very beautiful. A very strange situation.

I remember Singapore having a street [boogie st ?] which was nightly tourist attraction and you went along to watch all the "ladyboys" parade up and down the street, they did look good and had obviously spent hours tarting themselves up.
