My good friend has recently been diagnosed with the above. Should I be worried? Any tips, please, for dealing with this - diet or lifestyle or both?
Thank you.

Attention Squad.
Thank you - My friend is also a Coeliac. Are these two conditions related? She had surgery in connection with Wilkies two yrs ago. Am concerned that this might be a periodic necessity ongoing.
Let me put you in the picture re.Wilkies Syndrome......I have been in and around the surgery picture for 40 years and have never seen a case of Wilkies syndrome.

I presume that you have read what causes the Syndrome.

I have NEVER seen a connection between Coeliac disease and WS reported.

One can assume and theorise, that if your friend had lost a considerable amount of weight due to Coeliac disease, then there might, just might be a connection.

Thank you again Squad. Yes, I did read, as Daffy suggested - very informative, if a little technical for a non medic. However, the cardiac connection is interesting since it is a heridary factor in her case. To-day she has an endoscopy. Hoping for an illuminating outcome.
Renewed thanks.
