I recently bought a new toy for the ferocious felines to play on. Alas Frankie has broken one of the bits. This is a picture of the toy

He has burst off one of the prong things that have a toy on the end that is to be killed. The connection between the stick and the scratch pole has a plastic bullet shaped plug which has snapped in two.

Does anybody know what one of these plugs is called?

Don't know, but a blob of araldite should do the trick.

Is that glue?

Frankie finds that hanging off the branch thing is more fun than killing the ball toy. He is about 5.5kg - will this araldite stuff take his weight?

He has also destroyed a clothes horse/drier with his climbing games. :-(
Yes get some araldite. It is a resin glue that you add hardener to just prior to use.
I remember when making Airfix models (as a child) the glue would make the plastic go runny after you had tried to fix it a few times. Araldite won't do this and should set hard.
It takes quite a long time to set, but goes rock hard and is usually stronger than the item being fixed.

Araldite Rapid sets quicker, but still takes about ten minutes to start hardening and needs to be left overnight to build strength.

Thanks Hopkirk and Andrew

I am sure that Frankie thanks you too - he is busy hanging off one of the other branches as I type. :-)
Get him one of these to play with.

Hopkirk - that was a mega cute clip. I am not sure if either of my two would go that close to water.
I was waiting for the dolphin to leap up and swallow the moggy...

Nasty boy Snags - I am sure that some ginger feline will bite you for having that thought.
