what do the initials s.a. stand for following business's name?......is it south africa?....i thought it also mean't something else?

I think it means Societe Anoname or somesuch, which would appear to mostly mean a ltd company in mostly spanish speaking countries, i think. I have posted a link below which may be helpful

Societe Anonyme in French and something similar in Spanish and Portuguese. Something like Ltd or plc here. South Africa, South Australia.........

Yep Societe Anonyme does mean Limited also used by many older registered Greek Companies.
