Since he slipped in the snow in November 2010. Until then he got the neighbours papers every day. Since then he has had a stroke (not major) but debilitating. He used to go and sit and talk with them. Since his fall NOT one person has been round to ask after him. Today I cajoled him to let me get him out of the house. It took about 10 mins to get from the front door to the car. We drove for miles through the country. We even had icecream. When we got back we were both knackered. It was lovely getting him out again. Then came a knock at the door. "I have reported you to the council and the police for parking on the pavement" My reply.......Answers on a postcard.
Do you think the neighbours really have reported your parking to the council or are they just being spiteful? I think I would ring the local council in the morning and explain why you had to park on the pavement, if they did report you it could quite well diffuse the situation if the council and the police know it was purely for health reasons as it took 10 mins to get micmac into the car.
Forget aboutit, they won't do anything. If the plod come round, explain to them. You've better things to think about (as I would have thought neighbour had). x
Jeza, I hope the answer you gave that spiteful neighbour went on a very large postcard........some people are absolutely unbelievable. Was it one of the neighbours Mic used to get the paper for ?
Go down the mobility path, and maybe you can get a disabled parking spot outside your front door... anyway hope things get better for you both... life throws enough poo at us without idiots trying to rub it in.. I'd have been arrested if someone had been like that ... you did well just swearing
Parking on the pavement isnt an offence, driving on the pavement is i would send my hubby round for you to quote the sections of law at her if you like?xxx
