In simple terms .... is the above phone good? Battery life OK? Idiot proof? Internet speed OK? Main features??

It's my 1st smartphone so have nothing with which to compare it directly but would say yes to those questions.

As for main features there are plenty of reviews online.

You could look for Galaxy S3 reviews on youtube. Then you can get an idea what it is like to use.

Had a play with somebody else's on the same day as I played with a HTC one x

The specs of the two phones is virtually identical but I preferred the one x, the screen looked brighter and clearer and the HTC UI looks better than the samsung one IMO.

That said, I doubt you'd be disappointed with either phone.

I believe it is very similar to the "Galaxy Note" and that is the best thing since sliced bread!
