Hello everyone,
Just to keep you updated - Zeb my 17 year old vitara soft top passed her MOT with flying colours - I think it even surprised the MOT guy.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.well done! my peugeot always sailed through and it was a V reg, my new car is a vauxhall corsa and sailed through too and it's a p reg! looks really good too which always helps i think as the tester can tell a car that is looked after. my dad always said to make sure the car is spotless inside and out before a test as it gives the impression it is being cared for. not sure if it ever helps but they all pass.
hi all sorry for taking so long to get back to you. The MOT system over here is different that it is on the mainland you take your car to a government run centre - so its not worth having a preMOT - so there is always that worry.
Plus as I can't crawl on the floor under the car I was worried what was going on - but the MOT examiner said the underside was spotless and could not believe she was 17!!
My dad is forever on at me to get rid of her and buy something more modern but I love her personality!!
