Can't get synchronised swimming channel!!!

Can anyone explain why? I have freeview. When I press the red button all I'm given is a choice of 3 channels. If I look on my ipad, there are loads of olympic channels to choose from. Why are there only 3 on freeview?

Nothing to do with being paid for, as the Olympics is on BBC so it is free.
It is simply because Virgin and Sky have the capacity to add all these channels, Freeview does not. There is no space on freeview to add all these channels.
I have 48 new channels on Sky for the Olympics, 24 for High definition and 24 for Standard Definition.
No way could you fit that on freeview.

Ah...I see. That's why I can get it on my ipad then. It's just annoying me that they are making out that everything is there to be watched on the "red button" and it's not! Thanks chi-chi66 and gingejbee.
Needawin? Prudie is right! Each to their own! I can't stand football or rugby but appreciate I'm in a minority there!
Sipowicz....hahaha....hadn't noticed that! It's all in the punctuation I guess!

No, whether they do it in the channel or in a swimming pool, I can't say I've ever got it either. Just because it requires some physical effort doesn't make it a sport. It's an art form. Any of these events that require a subjective opinion from the judges as to how pretty you did something, is an art form.
they're available here http://www.tvcatchup.com/channels.html if you register (i have never had any problem with spam in the long time that i've been registered)
You can stream all the live stuff that’s not on the 3 freeview channels from the BBC website if that’s an option for you.
