have also checked synonyms loads of times and humble does not come up???? I hate quitting on puzzles.....but might just have to admit defeat on this one!

You are welcome. I had all the Chat Supplement answers yesterday but you disappeared.

I think there is a printing error. From the first letter c reading diagonally down would read clutter but there is a g instead of the e. Then also would make the word mess if that was an e. Then the remaining letters would spell upside down.
