Are the best ones the daily disposables? I want to switch from specs now my last pair are broken; how do I know what to choose and can you still get the ones you soak overnight? Are they cheaper as I'm tight. Is it ok to get them online?>
You are best going to your optician for advice, they will talk you through the best options for your lifestyle. You will have to go to an optician anyway as you will be asked for their details when ordering online so that the website can check your prescription
The best lenses are daily disposables. They are more expensive, but if you care about your eyesight it won't matter. Mine cost 22 per month from Specsavers.
I used to use monthly disposables which you wear continuously - I ended up in eye casualty with ulcers in both eyes - not nice.
Chazza's right. For example I have an astigmatism which means I simply cannot wear soft lenses (apparently).
You'll probably want another pair of cheap glasses for emergencies anyway otherwise if you get an eye infection or a sore eye for any other reason you'll need them to do things like drive.
Ive worn glasses then gone onto daily's but im now using the silicone ones, leave in for a month, even at night. its 15 a month but theres no messing around with solution. But go to a reputable opticians for advice first as to what would be most suitable for your needs.
