my daughter is travelling at the moment.. she took out insurance before she left the uk and now wants to extend her time away.. the insurance company is saying she needs to be in the uk to extend her travel insurance and companies in australia are saying she needs to be leaving australia to get cover. she wants to stay in australia for another six months but cant get insurance.. can anyone help please

Tell her to approach one of the (bigger) health funds. They provide cover for overseas visitors above the Medicare coverage.
