Claws in Diamond Ring
4 Answers
I have seen a diamond ring I like, a type of eternity setting not a solitaire. I like the claws to be seen at the sides of the ring, but this has a more modern look, with the sides 'all closed in' and joined to the base. Does this mean that as the light wont get into the sides and underneath of the ring, it won't sparkle as much ?

Is this what you mean, or that the claws come right up to the top of the stone?

It is a row of diamonds rather than an eternity ring setting. So the sides are raised as they would be if you could see the claws, but instead of claws, they are all joined together. Sorry to be so dim... I saw it in a large reputable jewellers, by the way. But its secondhand so wouldn't be on a website.
