I offered the two obelisks of paving slabs in my front garden to my neighbour for hard standing for his greenhouse and caravan. When I came home today he had taken them and dug my front garden in return. He`s no spring chicken either but has jolly good legs.

This is what 'Call me Dave' calls his Big Society. People have been doing things like this for years - one favour for another - doesn't need a name, just good neighbourliness!!
em it's a bit like those sodding boy scouts who try and make me cross the road...................
our neighbours would likely dig a grave and shove you in it.

Hadn`t given much thought to digging the front garden but it looks lovely.

He`s a jolly good digger too. Might offer him the four obelisks in the back garden and stick around to watch the legs in action.

I`ve had good neighbours with not so good legs Redman but I can usually find something worth looking at. ;-)

Now there`s something to look forward to Redman! Stock up with beer and cocktails I think.
Sneak picture of gness's front garden, after the neighbour finished the redesign work ...

Wish I hadn`t asked him for ideas on how to stop tonight`s visitor driving into my garage door as usual, Dave.
