A line appears at the bottom of screen saying
"Speed up browsing by disabling add-ons"
Right-hand of line states-"choose add-ons" and "ask me later"
Please explain and advise as to any action I should take.
Please keep it simple!
In gratitude

That is an annoying pop-up because it does confuse novices and there is no easy option to tell it to go away for ever.
The easiest way to get rid of it forever is to select "choose add-ons" and then at the bottom off the window that pops up next to where it says "Tell me when the delay caused by add-ons exceeds:" select 10seconds (I think that's the maximum) from the drop down list and click done.
A browser can have "add-ons" that give extra features.
But these add-ons do take a time to load (fractions of a second).
So the browser is asking you if you want to continue to run these add-ons.
If you dont know what you are doing just select "ask me later".
If you press "choose add-ons" it will show you all the add-ons that are running and how long they took to start up. On this window you can press a button (cant remember which) to basically say to carry on.
You get a chance to disable add-ons but leave them as they are if you dont understand what they do.
"If you dont know what you are doing just select "ask me later"."
I just wish they'd put a "never ask me again" option for it, if people don't know what they are doing and it keeps coming back over and over again there is a good chance they'll eventually end up disabling add-ons that are required.
Thank-you both for the info.Best option appears to be to ignore and hope that eventually it will go away.Problem like all these thing to a novice is that we don't want to do anything if we don't understand the consequences.
Many thanks again
