Samsung v Iphone

My contract is due for an upgrade. tbh, I can't wait to get rid of my phone which I HATE with a passion.

I can have a Samsung galaxy s3 or an Iphone 4. The Iphone 4 is more expensive (about £15 per month extra). However, where it might be useful is that I spend a huge amount of time gassing to my mate and I could get an app so I could talk to him for nowt. My current phone is a Samsung and i find it impossible to download emails or surf (I don't need to do this very often, but its helpful when i am out and about).

Otherwise, I am interested in people's views on these two phones.

If your main concern is the app for chatting to your mate, then that might be available for android too, if not there are other apps available on both devices that will do the same...

I'd go for the samsung, but it is huge compared to the iphone (to the point it's close to being called a tablet).... have you actually seen or handled one?

Not seen or handled either Chuck. I don't want anything too big though. it needs to fit in a pocket or handbag. I am a technophone. However, having just had my landline bill where I talk to my mate on his mobile regularly, I really do need to be able to cut our call costs down!
