There is a tungsten mine planned for the Tamar Valley and well on in the project.

Down here we have a group looking at South Crofty. Ostensibly it is for tin, but in reality it is more for the by-products, esp Chromium and Indium. Chromium is largely controlled by the Cubans and the Chinese (the latter who have grabbed S American and W African mines - and one of the reasons, along with oil, that Cuba may become the 51st USA State - perhaps in our time).

Gold, Copper, Nickel, Mercury and Lead are by products out of South Crofty. They are talking about starting with the upper decks first - in my old man's time they extracted at something like 1 in 500 to a 1000 parts, now they can go down to 1 in 100k or finer......makes me wonder why they do nto rework the spoil tips......

If South Crofty gors, then may be Geevor follows and perhaps Wheal Jane, the issue in both being the water..... good pumping was always a pre-requisite.
