2 IE Icons

Hi

I have just got my laptop back from the computer shop after having a 'healthcheck'

Everything was fine, but today I have noticed that there are 2 Internet Explorer icons on my quick lauch bar & I have no idea why? Is it a bad thing that I have 2? How did this happen? Everytime I delete one, it comes back in the same place

Should I get rid of 1 & how can I do this permanently?

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 64 bit operating systems you will have the choice of either a 32 bit or 64 bit IE.

What is the difference between the 32 bit & or 64 bit IE & how do I choose which 1 I want?

There is very little difference apart from the fact that some websites won't work properly on the 64 bit browser and it will make you view it in compatibility mode. When I used to use IE I just stuck with the 32 bit version. I now use Google Chrome and wouldn't go back to IE if you paid me to :)

If I install Google Chrome, will it take up a lot of memory and slow down my laptop? I have only just got my laptop back after a 'health check' to sort out some problems & wouln't want to cause any unnecessary

No. (and I think your confusing memory and hard drive space)
