Further to a question posted previously by another poster, which was answered erroneously, is there a law similar to the 1999 Sale of Dogs Act, but which refers specifically to dogs bred by UNLICENCED breeders?

The Breeding And Sale Of Dogs (Welfare) Act 1999 specifically relates to the commercial breeding and sale of dogs.
An unlicenced dealer / breeder would be committing an offence within the meaning of this act if he or she was breeding or selling dogs for commercial reasons.
It follows, therefore, that this Act is designed to stop the breeding and sale of dogs for commercial purposes by unlicenced dealers / breeders.
