Who still uses a Braun Independent Styler and can't get refill cells because they have been discontinued?

I was in my local Wilkinson's today and they are now stocking these refills manufactured by a firm called enRgy and will work on a Braun Independent - cost £4 for two. I bought some.

they were pretty effective as well and useful to keep in your desk at work

yes I have a braun cordless smoothstyler..and Independant cordless Steam and straightener. Don't think we have a Wilkinsons though..will check the
nearest one.

chi-chi - other shops may start selling them as well. I've emailed them to thank them for bringing them out. I stocked up when the Braun ones were being discontinued and will run out shortly, so I'm well chuffed with the new product !

Noraq - They're great to style your hair, as they don't need plugging in so can be used anywhere. I'd be lost without mine ....

I used to use them until I discovered GHD's. I don't care what anyone says, no other styler/straightner is a patch on GHD.

i haven't used the tongs i have for ages and it's a braun that doesn't need the refills, as it's a plug in type.

Aren't they the ones you filled up with lighter fluid and the circular battery went under the button at the top?

That takes me back a few decades if it is. Wonderful gadget.

I don't know if that's how they worked at one time alba. There's no battery now, just a refill called a 'cell'. I'd be lost without mine as you can use it anywhere. Really glad this new firm has started manufacturing the cells again after Braun discontinued them.

Also had trouble finding Gas refills ...finally found the Energy brand on Ebay ...now the styler has packed up...usual problem...igniter failing to spark.
Trying to find out if Braun are still making the styler.
