I've just watched the Hard Rock calling programm that I recorded a while back, and Paul McCartney really is the embarassing uncle who has had one drink too many and doesn't know when it is time to leave the party. His duet with Bruce Springsprong was excruciating and I can only commend those who pulled the plug.

I think Mick Jagger, leaping about on stage, is excruciatingly embarrassing.
I think it's funny!! I don't think he takes it seriously either. And I love Keith!
The worse one to watch on stage though has to be Cliff Richard, not as if I would ever want to watch or listen to him!!
And as for Bruce Springsteen - did he ever find that BARN in the USA?
.. and don't get me started on Bob Dylan.

How did he ever get a recording contract?
They should all retire gracefully and rest on their laurels. Except for David Gilmour. Now, he's still got it.
never liked paul mccartney liked george especially with the traveling willburries
Dylan has done some great stuff.
Dylan, no voice, but a great songwriter and although he has no real singing voice I love to hear him.

Lay Lady Lay - one of my favourites.
The not so great voice is what appeals to me. A bit like Neil Young.
Don't dislike Springsteen, but think he is greatly overrated. Have never particularly liked anything he has done. But then I feel the same about Bono and U2.

Music is very personal though.
I don't think Brian Ferry has a great voice either ummmm, but I still like listening to him and same for Rod Stewart. It's not really about the voice though is it it's the musicality and the feeling portrayed in the voice.
Bob Dylan, crap singer but great song writer, although I did like Knocking on Heavens Door.
Bryan Ferry was v gorgeous but now is a sad old hasbeen too.Quite like Neil Young hes a bit of an aquired taste but he still writes a good song
Yes, I like Neil Young too, nannybooby. After the Goldrush and Harvest were excellent albums and he is still going strong after all these years

Neil Young is one of my all time favourites, and a tremendous live act to boot, but Bob Dylan's nasal whining voice makes me want to prepetrate random acts of violence.
