i used to have a kodak just like you and i was fed up with mine too, picture colour quality was very poor, so i bought this hp all in one and i was supprised how much ink it uses.
Mike, have you not tried refilling your own cartridges??
I've refilled mine for the last 12 years so your can imagine how much I have saved in that time.
My last new printer (an HP) was bought in Jan 2011 and I have refilled the original cartridges ever since and they still print as good as when new.
The replacement ink over the last 18 months cost about £3.00 whereas I should have bought approx 6 black and 6 colour cartridges costing roughly £150. I now refill both cartridges in approx 20 minutes and consider a couple of inky finger tips well worth the effort.
The printer keeps telling me that the cartridges are nearly empty but I know better (having just refilled them) and know that they will last for the next few
weeks. The trick is to refill them before they actually get empty otherwise the heater in the cartridges could burn out and a new cartridge would then have to be bought.
Mike, If you can give me an e-mail address of some sort then I could send a 3-page .doc file which could be of help and interest to you when refilling the cartridges.
I believe you can get a one-off-use e-mail address from some sites.
Good luck,
Wak.
