Tardis Dr Who today

If the Dr Who series was made today what would you have the Tardis appear as? I think one of those builders toilets would fit the bill.

Although..as the entire idea of Dr who is time travel, making it a 1920's (?)police box would work whenever it was first produced.

There is/was a newspaper sellers wooden hut with a drop down front when open, outside the Queens Hotel in the centre of Leeds, that would do.

I've been at a festival today. A friend went of on a recce and came back announcing that she had been chased by a robotic dog......

She showed us a picture on her phone.........it was K-9!!!

She's only 22, bless.....

In 1963, when Doctor Who started, police boxes were on the way out, but some cities stil had them. Pre-mobile days, it was a way for beat police to keep in touch with the station, and most big cities had them, although they were being phased out. That said, they would not have been something that unusual - which of course was the idea.

As The Doctor explained, the 'chameleon' device, with which all Tardises were fitted to enable them to blend in where ever they landed, had broken, and was stuck as a police box, from his visit to earth.

From there, they went back to earth in prehistoric times, and from there to Skairo, home of the Daleks, and the rest is literally history.
