I know it is relatively old news, but I couldn't help notice a few things about the stick insect's recent prang with Silly I am and felt it might just be a glorified publicity stunt to put them back in the public eye. Am I a tad cynical? Definitely.

A cameraman was on hand to catch the accident as soon as it happened. She left hospital wearing a neck brace but was otherwise unmarked. She boarded a flight the next day wearing a sling intead, (where did that come from and who diagnosed that injury?). Finally, who in their right mind believes she could or would eat a McDonalds? If she ate a tin of beans she would come out in lumps!

Duncer - if your reasons for slagging her off are for her lack of musical talent, does that mean that if you thought that she does in fact have musical talent, you wouldn`t think that her car accident was staged for publicity reasons and you wouldn`t have been as you said, cynical?

Why feel the need to slate her in the first place, Duncer? Surely you can find better things to talk about.

I can, Linfield's current inablity to beat Glentoran for one. However, I did not stage the car crash and put her in the news; she did. Or perhaps Silly I am did? Either way, when you do that you open yourself to comment and the possibility that people might say things about your promotion of your latest single.

237SJ, reference your point; if Cheryl had no musical talent (lots of room for argument there, NOT) then nobody would even be discussing her car crash with Silly I am. Put another way,in today's celebrity obsessed world, it would be so far under the radar it could fly into Russia undetected.

I think they would have been discussing her Duncer. Cheryl Cole is well-known in this country for her appearances in TV rather than her musical talent.

Sir Prize - I am not moaning, merely passing comment on a vacuous musical non-entity. I prefer to deal with real incidents, not staged ones. And it is "on TV" not "in TV".

I agree with Duncer that it would appear to be staged. Funny how something always seems to happen to her to get her in the papers when she has a new record to promote!
